Buddy System

A TREASURED TRADITION AT COVENANT

As students are enrolled at Covenant, they are assigned a buddy to be paired with throughout their school years. During the year, we host multiple buddy events that are designed to allow the older students to socialize and mentor their younger buddies.

The older buddy undertakes a supportive and caring relationship with their younger buddy which encourages respect and confidence. Our buddy system builds a bond that contributes to the student’s social and emotional learning and increases their self-esteem.

Ultimately, a well-established buddy system strengthens the school community and provides further opportunities for students to participate fully in the life and culture at Covenant.
