LEARNING TO LOVE READING

The Covenant Preparatory School library serves students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade, and contains over 12,000 holdings. To encourage children to develop a lifelong love of reading, we participate in several fun and engaging programs, including the Mystery Readers and Scholastic Book Fairs.

Research Aids

Covenant maintains a subscription to Questia, an electronic database. Students may access Questia from Covenant or a personal computer using a password obtained from library staff.

Bookfairs

Each fall and spring, The Covenant Preparatory School Library hosts a Scholastic Book Fair. A variety of books are available for purchase by students, parents and staff. Book fair profits are used to purchase new books for the library, sponsor author visits to the school, and fund other special library events.

Library Hours

Tuesday 8:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
Wednesday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 7:55 a.m.
Monday through Friday 3:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.

Volunteer at the Library

Volunteering at the library is fun and easy. Whether you lend your voice to read to a child, assist with organizational tasks, or participate in fundraisers, there are a variety of ways to get involved and your help is always welcome. Many of the programs Covenant children adore are only possible because of the time and talents given by our wonderful volunteers. A few of the programs we invite you to participate in are:

  • Book Fair
  • Story Time Guest Readers
  • Shelf Organizers
  • Mystery Reader

(Volunteers share how reading has influenced their life and then read a book to children.)
